[Non-Media/Politics Post] Running for Charity, Post Cancer
Sorry, know I've been a bit MIA, but I should be back after the Army 10-Miler
Hi guys — I’m sorry, I know I’ve been somewhat MIA lately on pieces, but I’ve got a couple topics in the works, and part of the reason I’ve been more tied up is for a good cause. Read on for some details/a chance to donate to a great cause, or feel free to disengage if you aren’t interested [we’re all only human].

I know you (understandably) don’t usually come to me for athletic content, but wanted to let you all know that, next Sunday, Oct. 13th, I’ll be running the Army 10-miler — eight years after I had said I would, two years after a brain cancer diagnosis, and one year after finishing chemo and radiation. I’m not fast, or good at running, but I’d like to prove to myself that I can do this. I’ve been training for a couple of months, and did a 9-mile run just last week. I’m feeling ready.
More importantly, I’m also raising money for charity as part of it, with 100% of donations going to Undue Medical Debt, a really great organization working to eliminate medical debt — something as many as 40% of Americans struggle with.
